The Rage Of The Gods
The game premise takes place in a world where wizards have enraged the gods and have declared war on them. It is about a young wizard called “Reynold”. In the demo, he is on his way to the magic temple of “Firestorm” to look for answers about his lost father and his relationship with magic. The Rage of the Gods is a fast paced first person shooter game where the player fights against three types of enemies. The enemies spawn in waves and the player is trying to survive for as long as possible.
Fantasy First Person Shooter
The purpose of this micro game was to explore various tools and techniques in Unity to create an engaging first person shooter experience. The main focus was on implementing different enemy archetypes with unique behaviors using basic game AI principles. Additionally, I utilized Cinemachine for the FPS camera controller and DOTween for fluid animations, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.
Reynold - a Hogwarts drop out - is a wizard who has travelled and seen a lot. He has mastered one spell, the fireball. He is keen on learning new spells however, including one that will enable him to protect himself instead of using his agility to dodge everything that comes towards him.
The Kamikaze are programmed to chase the player and get as close to him as possible. Then, they charge and explode dealing massive amounts of damage. On the flip side, they move fast but their health is very low so the player can easily exterminate them before they get too close.
Wizards were first created and then mobilized by the gods to defeat the wizards on earth. They shoot magic projectiles that do not deal too much damage. They also have a medium amount of health. If the player lets them to grow in numbers, they can quickly become overwhelming by pinning down the player.
The tank enemy has got the most amount of health and a decent amount of damage but is very slow. If it gets close enough to the player, it will jump up and stomp down. Depending on where the player was the moment it jumped up, it will spawn metal spikes that emerge from the ground when it stomps down.
